Have you ever wanted to port-forward? Wanted to change router settings? And you do not know username or password? Many people cannot access their router through a web browser, because they either forgot a password/username or do not have a router manual at all. Well, there is a little trick that can help you access your router with full Super User rights.

Go to the Start menu on the bottom left corner of your screen.

Search for Run. - Press the windows key and the letter R together. It's the shortcut key for the "Run" window.

Type cmd in the Run window and hit enter.

When the command prompt opens up, type "ipconfig" (without quotes) and hit enter.

Locate your Default gateway's address that is located under the Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection and copy that address.

Go to your Web browser and paste the previously copied address in the URL search bar, hit Enter.

You will be taken to your router's homepage. It will ask for an username and a password.

Go to your router and try to find the "Modem Access Code". It is usually located on the bottom of the router. Memorize or write down the code for future reference!

Go back to the router's homepage.

Write or paste the "Modem Access Code" you previously wrote down or memorized.

Type in the username. The general usernames are: "user", "admin" "000", "administrator" or blank or any other default username you could think of. Type them without quotes.

Done! Now, you have the full access to your router/modem!
